We now know more information about Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 after it was revealed yesterday. Details were made available on the official Japanese website.
Initially, Nintendo stated that new storybook content was being developed. As you advance through the book, new stories will be added, as we now know. The narrative from the Wii version is carried over into a new chapter in Super Mario Galaxy. A brand-new, four-chapter picture book is also introduced in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Another recent addition is the ability to use Soundtrack Mode to listen to game music. Players have access to 154 tracks in both titles.
You might have missed it yesterday, but there will be an assist mode. The first step is for Mario’s health to rise from three to six. He’ll also go back to his starting position if he falls off the stage. At any moment, you can activate or deactivate Assist Mode.
Sharing a Joy-Con is possible in local multiplayer. The second player has the ability to gather items and stop enemies.
This functionality will be supported for fans of Amiibo. Players can obtain useful in-game items by scanning specific figures. Yesterday saw the release of the new Super Mario Galaxy amiibo.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 will, at last, support 4K resolution when docked for Nintendo Switch 2 users. Note that a free update is needed for this. Games on the Nintendo Switch run at 1080p at their highest resolution.
