Following yesterday’s announcement, we now have additional information about Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2. The official Japanese website had information.

Nintendo originally stated that they were working on new storybook content. We now know that as you go through the book, more stories will be added. A brand-new chapter in Super Mario Galaxy carries on the plot from the Wii version. Meanwhile, a brand-new picture book with four chapters is introduced in Super Mario Galaxy 2.

The ability to listen to game music in Soundtrack Mode is also a recent addition. Players have access to 154 tracks in both titles.

You might have missed it yesterday, but there will be an assist mode. To begin, Mario’s health rises from three to six. He’ll also go back to his starting position if he falls off the stage. At any time, you can activate or deactivate Assist Mode.

Sharing a Joy-Con is possible in local multiplayer. The second player has the ability to gather items and stop enemies.
