Almost $43 million has been spent so far on TV, radio, digital, and streaming advertisements by Newsom’s group supporting Prop 50. To date, the two GOP organizations opposed to Prop 50 have spent $27 million in total. The difference is $16 million.

The GOP donor Charles Munger Jr. funds the anti-Prop 50 organization No on Prop 50 – Protect Voters First. has so far spent $201 million on advertising. But since the November election is just a month away, the group isn’t running any TV advertisements this week. AdImpact suggests four elections.

An allied organization headed by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, No on Prop 50 – Stop Sacramento’s Power Grab, has spent just under $7 million on advertisements overall. It has spent less than $2 million this week so far, down from $4 million last week.

Many Republicans secretly think that the chances of Prop 50 passing are increasing. Multiple sources in both parties following the campaign claim that this is because of the spending advantage and the fact that Democrats have successfully nationalized the race with advertisements featuring President Donald Trump.

The anti-Prop 50 campaign’s fundraising isn’t progressing as planned. McCarthy claimed to have raised $100 million for the cause, but he has only spent $7 million on advertisements, which has privately infuriated Republicans in Washington.

In a statement, the McCarthy-affiliated organization said it is “continuing to invest the necessary resources to run a data-driven campaign” that can effectively reach key voters with the resources at its disposal.

Ellie Hockenbury, a group adviser, stated, “No amount of campaign money, deft spin, or all-caps posts can hide the truth: Prop 50 takes power away from the people and gives it to greedy politicians at great taxpayer expense while pretending it’s for democracy.”.

Several Republicans from the House have contributed: Rep. Ohio Senator Jim Jordan donated $300,000. Representatives of the Republican Party. Californians Jay Obernolte and Vince Fong each contributed $100,000. GOP Representatives from California. Additionally, Ken Calvert and Doug LaMalfa have donated. Under the proposed new map, they would be drawn into deep blue districts. LaMalfa donated $250,000.
