Sorry, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Kobie Turner just wasn’t quite Goo enough to move on to “The Masked Singer” semi-finals.
“I was so moved by the chance to stick around in the competition,” Goo/Turner said in his package voiceover, before singing “Iris” by the aptly named Goo Goo Dolls.
“The Masked Singer” Season 12 themed episodes include tributes to Mattel’s Barbie as it hits its 65th anniversary, and the film “Footloose” as it marks its 40th anniversary.
But that journey has taken a turn when we arrived on the Masked Singer.

Kobie Turner, the defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, was just not good enough to advance to the semi-finals of “The Masked Singer.” He’s sorry. After losing to Strawberry Shortcake by a slim margin, Turner was revealed as Goo in Wednesday’s episode.
This was the second time Goo had been in danger; the first time he was on the verge of elimination in the Group B finals, he was saved. When the Season 12 Quarter Finals rolled around, he wasn’t as fortunate.
Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got Kobie Turner just right for Goo. Robin Thicke chose a different L. A. Aaron Donald Ram? It was Shaquille O’Neal, according to Ken Jeong. Rita Ora believed it to be John Cena.
Rita Ora guessed that Goo was Anthony Hamilton, Ken Jeong named Brian McKnight, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg picked Johnny Gill, and Robin Thicke thought it was Leon Bridges the last time he was on the chopping block (prior to the clue that showed he wasn’t a professional singer).
Wasp and Buffalo advanced straight to the semi-finals after receiving the most votes in the Quarter Finals. As a result, Goo and Strawberry Shortcake faced off for third place. Strawberry Shortcake performed “Scars To Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara, and Goo sang “Hold On, I’m Comin'” by Sam and Dave. In the end, Strawberry Shortcake advanced, while Goo was eliminated.

Additionally, a “celebrity Masked Ambassador” consisting of former contestants such as Dick Van Dyke (Season 9’s Gnome), Jewel (Season 6 winner as the Queen of Hearts), Ne-yo (Season 10 winner as the Cow), and DeMarcus Ware (Season 11’s Koala) will endorse the fifteen celebrity contestants. Additionally, the “Ding Dong Keep It On” bell is back this morning, but only one performer from each of the three group finals can be saved.
