Most Americans in a new poll said they probably won’t get an updated COVID-19 vaccine.
The Pew Research Center survey found 60 percent said they are “probably not” going to “get an updated vaccine.” Just less than 25 percent said they “probably” will get a booster, and 15 percent said they have already received the latest shot.
Those in the survey who had hesitancy around the updated vaccine were asked which “major” concerns could prompt them to skip the latest dose.
Kennedy has been previously strongly against the COVID-19 vaccine and was banned from Instagram in early 2021 for the purposeful distribution of vaccine misinformation.
The Pew Research Center survey was conducted Oct. 21-27 and featured 9,593 people in the U.S.

Over four years have passed since the U.S. S. . started coping with COVID-19, as the virus spread and forced people to stay at home globally and shut down whole industries.
The survey asked respondents who were hesitant about the new vaccine what “major” worries they might have that would make them miss the most recent dose. Five percent stated that the cost was a factor in their decision to forego the shot, 61 percent stated they don’t think they need it, and about 60 percent mentioned concerns about side effects.
The information follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendation that people over 65 or with compromised immune systems think about getting a second dose of the most recent vaccine.
Trump, the incoming president, recently chose Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who has a track record of advocating against vaccines, to head the Department of Health and Human Services during his next term. Due to his deliberate dissemination of false information about the COVID-19 vaccine, Kennedy was banned from Instagram in early 2021. Kennedy has previously been a vocal opponent of the vaccine.
