Don’t worry, Samsung is busy developing the next version of One UI for its tablets as well: the first internal One UI 8 test build has been spotted for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has also been benchmarked running Android 16, making this a pretty big step forward in the update’s development for Samsung’s latest flagship tablet lineup.
What makes this notable is that the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup only received the One UI 7 (Android 15) update a month ago.
However, Samsung’s push for an early release also makes it a little less probable that the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, and most other devices, will be supported in the One UI 8 beta program.
But that’s just speculation for now, as Samsung has not said anything about the One UI 8 beta for devices other than the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.
Samsung is working hard on the next version of One UI for its tablets, too. The first internal One UI 8 test build has been spotted for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. While One UI 8 for Samsung’s smartphones is generating a lot of excitement, what about the company’s tablets?
But that’s not all. This is a significant advancement in the development of the update for Samsung’s most recent flagship tablet lineup, as the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has also been benchmarked running Android 16.
This is noteworthy because the One UI 7 (Android 15) update was only applied to the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup a month ago. Samsung has stated that One UI 8 will be released significantly earlier than One UI 7 or any other One UI version, regardless of the device, so this is not surprising.
The Galaxy Tab S10 lineup and the majority of other devices are less likely to be supported in the One UI 8 beta program, though, as a result of Samsung’s push for an early release. However, Samsung has not yet disclosed any information regarding the One UI 8 beta for devices other than the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, so that is merely conjecture at this time.
As always, keep checking back because we’ll notify you as soon as we learn anything new!
