The woman who accused rappers Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was 13 years old detailed her experience in an interview with NBC News.
The woman filed a lawsuit last weekend, adding Carter to a pre-existing lawsuit accusing Combs of sexual assault.
In her first interview since the accusations were filed, the Jane Doe acknowledged that her account in the lawsuit contained some inconsistencies.
NBC noted that the version of events shared by the accuser included a celebrity who wasn’t in New York at the time.
Still, the woman told NBC News she felt an obligation to come forward.
In an NBC News interview, the woman who claimed that she was raped at the age of 13 by rappers Diddy and Jay-Z described her ordeal.
In the interview, the unnamed woman recalled being driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party by Sean “Diddy” Combs, where she chatted with celebrities before she “began feeling funny.”. The accused victim claimed she was raped by Combs and Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter. According to her, the event destroyed her life.
“I became really depressed.”. I completely retreated. “I started getting worse grades,” she said, adding that she also experienced homelessness during this time.
Carter was added to an existing lawsuit alleging Combs of sexual assault by the woman’s lawsuit, which was filed last weekend. In addition to being charged with criminal sex trafficking, Combs has been the target of multiple sexual assault accusations.
The Jane Doe admitted that there were some discrepancies in her lawsuit account in her first interview since the accusations were made.
