Mädchen Amick, who played waitress Shelly Johnson in Lynch’s hit ABC series Twin Peaks, paid tribute to the show’s creator in a heartfelt statement on Friday after he died at age 78.

In a heartfelt statement released Friday, Mädchen Amick, who portrayed waitress Shelly Johnson in Lynch’s popular ABC series Twin Peaks, paid tribute to the show’s creator, who passed away at the age of 78.

She remarked, “It’s difficult for me to find the right words to express the loss of, yes, a masterful genius but more importantly, a magnificent guy.”. A mentor of mine was David Lynch. Amick played Shelly on Twin Peaks for two seasons (1990–1991), and she returned to the role in the 1992 prequel movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and the 2017 Showtime limited series revival Twin Peaks: The Return.

Lynch was given an emphysema diagnosis, and his family announced his passing on Thursday. According to sources who spoke to Deadline, he had to leave his home because of the Sunset Fire, and things then got worse.
