BBC

Universal Studios has released the first trailer for its live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon,” after the popular DreamWorks Animation trilogy was released in the 2010s.
The trailer introduces Hiccup, Stoick and Toothless, who look exactly like their animated counterparts.
As part of his viking training, Hiccup is instructed to go out and kill a dragon, but instead he befriends the adorable dragon Toothless.
Dean DeBlois, who wrote and directed all three animated “How to Train Your Dragon” movies, has the same responsibilities for the live-action movie.
The DreamWorks movies included the original “How to Train Your Dragon” in 2010, “How to Train Your Dragon 2” in 2014 and “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” in 2019.

For the very first time, Hiccup and Toothless are shown in a live-action film.

Following the release of the well-liked DreamWorks Animation trilogy in the 2010s, Universal Studios has unveiled the first trailer for its live-action version of “How to Train Your Dragon.”. On June 13, the new film will be released in theaters.

A large number of the original characters are portrayed by fresh actors in the live-action version. These include Julian Dennison (“Deadpool 2”) as Fishlegs Ingerman, Nico Parker (“Dumbo,” “The Last of Us”) as Astrid, and Mason Thames (“The Black Phone”) as Hiccup. Stoick the Vast, Hiccup’s father, is portrayed by Gerard Butler, who provided the character’s voice in the animated trilogy.

Hiccup, Stoick, and Toothless are introduced in the trailer; they all have the same appearance as their animated counterparts. Hiccup makes friends with the cute dragon Toothless despite being told to kill a dragon as part of his Viking training.

The same duties that Dean DeBlois performed in the three animated “How to Train Your Dragon” films also apply to the live-action version. The DreamWorks films included “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” in 2019, “How to Train Your Dragon 2” in 2014, and the original “How to Train Your Dragon” in 2010. The movies, which are based on Cressida Cowell’s book series, center on a young man named Hiccup who finds a wounded and stranded dragon and befriends it before naming it Toothless. A group of Vikings live on the Isle of Berk, where the plot is set. Three television shows, theme park attractions, and a live performance called “How to Train Your Dragon on Ice” are also part of the franchise. Globally, the series has brought in over $1.06 billion.
