Wendy Williams is trying to rectify the situation.
In a rare interview with Charlamagne tha God on Thursday, the 60-year-old former host of the “Wendy Williams Show” broke down in tears over her health and the court-ordered conservatorship. She then jumped on the horn with her longtime friend Don Lemon for his podcast to address the rumors that she was incapacitated.
She said, “My life is ridiculous,” to the former CNN host. “I’ve spent three years with this guardian. I’m alone for three years of my life. I feel like I’m incarcerated. I am unable to leave. My only option is to gaze out the window. “.”.
“Hell f–king no,” Williams said when Lemon, 58, inquired as to whether she was “incapacitated” as her guardian, Sabrina E. Williams, who disclosed that she lives in a wellness facility in New York City. Morrissey has asserted.
After that, Lemon asked Williams about her health, mentioning that Morrissey “has said you’re incapacitated permanently and that you have dementia.” This was in reference to her conservator’s November court filing against AandE Television Networks, Lifetime Entertainment, and others regarding the 2024 documentary series “Where Will Wendy Williams?”.
Williams appeared shaken by the question, telling Lemon, “I don’t know how much I can talk without being punished.”. “”.
If she talks too much about her guardianship, which was put into place in May 2022 and left her family in the dark about her whereabouts and without access to her, she also fears that she “won’t be able to see my dad, and I won’t be able to do anything, and I’ll be stuck in this prison I’m in for the rest of my life.”.
Williams said she was unhappy with her present situation.
She said, “I’m not in a good position.”. “My life is in a terrible state. Please notice that I am alone in this guardian mess. I have a prison-like feeling. They seem to be attempting to exert control over me and everything I do, you know. “”.
Williams sobbed earlier in the day as she echoed her sentiment on “The Breakfast Club.”. “.”.
She maintained that she is “not cognitively impaired,” even though her “care team” stated that she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023. “Do I seem that way, God damn it?” she responded.
According to the former well-known host, she only had “$15” and can’t access the internet on an iPad or laptop.
“Emotional abuse is what this is,” she stated.
Additionally on the line was Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie, who vehemently supported her aunt’s mental health.

In an attempt to prevent the documentary from airing, Morrissey sued A&E Television Networks last year. Lifetime and A&E filed a countersuit, alleging Morrissey was aware that the documentary would highlight Williams’ difficulties.
Williams has recently made a number of infrequent appearances on her former talk show, where she last appeared in June 2022.
She was pictured with her son, Kevin Jr. ‘s college graduation in December in Miami and grinning in the backseat of a car in Fort Lauderdale with her nephew, Travis Finnie.
