After a technical issue with the piped-in music couldn’t be fixed, Carrie Underwood sang “America the Beautiful” a cappella during Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.
Following Trump’s speech and inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, the eight-time Grammy winner was introduced as the first musical performer to be announced prior to Inauguration Weekend.
The singers were positioned stage left across the podium from Trump and Vice President J., and there was a pause of roughly two minutes following Underwood’s introduction. D. Vance is awaiting the beginning of her music. Ultimately, following an usher whispering in her ear, Underwood informed the audience in the U. A. She said, “You know the words, help me out here,” as she entered the Capitol Rotunda.

Amid fears of an Arctic blast, the swearing-in ceremony was rescheduled from its customary location on the Capitol steps to inside on Friday. Trump claims that it was a consistent 72 degrees in the Rotunda today, but the outside temperature was in the low 20s.
Underwood oversaw the list of performers selected to take part in the inauguration-related events over the weekend. The national anthem was sung by tenor Christopher Macchio, and Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless the U.”. S. . 1. During the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, the United States Naval Academy Glee Club and the Armed Forces Chorus both performed.
Along with Kid Rock, the Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, and the Praise Choir from Liberty University, Greenwood participated in Trump’s Make America Great Again Victory Rally on Sunday. The Liberty Ball, one of three official inauguration-night balls, will feature performances by the Village People, Jason Aldean, and a “surprise musical guest” this evening. Gavin DeGraw will perform at the Starlight Ball, while Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum will perform at the Commander-In-Chief Ball.
