Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark strained a quadriceps muscle and will be sidelined for at least two weeks, the Fever announced Monday.
Clark had been battling a left leg injury this spring and sat out a preseason contest.
“Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks, the team announced today,” according to the team’s statement Monday.
Clark, 23, played in all 44 regular-season games for Indiana last season, earning her the Rookie of the Year honor.
Clark has also played in all four of Indiana’s games this year, averaging 19 points, six rebounds and 9.3 assists.

Clark is already the most well-known player in the WNBA after just one season and three weeks in a Fever uniform. Teams frequently attract their largest attendance when Indiana visits town.
