Kelvin Gastelum missed weight again, leaving the door open for plenty of criticism from fighters and fans.
Heading into the 25th fight of his UFC career, Gastelum faltered at the official weigh-ins, coming in five pounds over the middleweight limit for a bout with Dusko Todorovic at Noche UFC.
Veteran middleweight Derek Brunson joked Gastelum should have just fought Bryan Battle, another fighter who was recently released after struggling to make weight.

NEGATIVE

Once again, Kelvin Gastelum missed weight, which led to a lot of criticism from fans and fighters.

When Gastelum was officially weighed in for his 25th UFC fight against Dusko Todorovic at Noche UFC, he came in five pounds over the middleweight limit. Gastelum’s difficulties at the scale have long been a subject of debate, even as he transitioned from welterweight to middleweight, and this was the fourth time he had come in heavy for a UFC bout.

Regardless of whether Gastelum wins or loses on Saturday, it appears that a large portion of the community has had enough of the former Ultimate Fighter champion, even though his fight with Todorovic is set to take place as a catchweight match (with Gastelum paying a hefty 35 percent fine).

In a joke, veteran middleweight Derek Brunson said Gastelum ought to have fought Bryan Battle, another fighter who was just released due to weight issues. Brunson went on, “Damn, five pounds.”. “F it!” Buddy just said.

Caged, Nicolas.

What an insubordinate jerk. Fat Gastelum needs to be cut.

Condrewcius.

I genuinely don’t understand how they’re allowing this altercation to continue. Clearly, Kelvin made no attempt at all. Cancel the bout, give his opponent the money to win, and cut Gastelum. He has no justification for missing by this much.

SB40.

It’s time for Gastelum to be fired.

At-house gabe.

It’s a little depressing because instead of many fights on the diluted cards these days, I’m more excited for Kelvin to step on the scale and the resulting fallout.

My 62-year-old uncle is a CPA who is almost retired and has a better body.

Bred Bawston.

Win or lose, draw or canceled, I don’t care if they let the fight continue or not. Cut Kelvin.

fireballs that rotate.

He’s a 5’9″ 205er, lol.
