Baldwin Park shooting: 1 officer killed, another wounded

One Baldwin Park police officer was killed and another wounded after a shooting Saturday evening, three sources told The Times.
Multiple law enforcement agencies were responding to the shooting in Baldwin Park located near 4200 Filhurst Ave., said California Highway Patrol spokesperson Megan Curtiss.
One suspect had been taken into custody, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Police cars from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department and West Covina and El Monte police departments were stationed in the neighborhood.
At the hospital, news helicopters were whirling above as police cruisers from various law enforcement agencies rolled into the hospital’s emergency entrance used by ambulances.

Three sources told The Times that a shooting Saturday night left one Baldwin Park police officer dead and another injured.
