The pricing for the 2025 Lexus GX has been revealed, along with a few tweaks to standard specifications and equipment.
However, there’s a good reason for that, benefiting those who will buy the premium rugged SUV for its intended usage.
However, the most sizable price jump is found in the Overtail and Overtail+ models, now starting at $72,930 and $80,395, respectively.
The Torsen limited-slip center locking differential and the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 are also both standard equipment on all GX models.
The 2025 Lexus GX will still be assembled at the Tahara plant in Japan, arriving in American dealerships in early 2025.
The 2025 Lexus GX’s price has been disclosed, along with some changes to its standard features and specifications. The price, which has increased significantly across the board, including by more than $3,000 for the more hardcore models, is the largest change from this turn over to a new leaf. Nonetheless, there is a valid explanation for this, which will help those who purchase the high-end, tough SUV for its intended use.
For the 2025 model year, the starting price of the Toyota Land Cruiser twin has increased by $1,085 to $65,285. But the Overtail and Overtail+ models, which now start at $72,930 and $80,395, respectively, have seen the biggest price increases. Though it’s crucial to remember that the Overtail+ is now more costly than the Luxury trim, which is priced similarly in 2024, the other trims only saw a slight $500 increase.
For 2025, increase off-roading capability.
The rugged models’ standard one-inch suspension lift, which raises the ground clearance to 9 to 84 inches, is the reason for the significant price increase in the Overtrail and Overtrail+ trims. To further improve the GX’s off-road capabilities, both trims are also the only ones with electronically controlled locking rear differential, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control, Multi-Terrain Select, Panoramic Multi-Terrain Monitor, and Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS).
With Lexus, memory settings are now standard on all models, so even the base Premium can have its side mirror, steering wheel, and seat settings saved without having to pay more. Additionally, all GX models come equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and the Torsen limited-slip center locking differential as standard.
Soon to be delivered to dealerships.
The 2025 model retains many of the 2024 specifications, such as the twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine that produces 479 lb-ft of torque and 349 horsepower, which is more than the V8 from the previous generation. A 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission is mated to this mill. The GX has not yet received the I-Force Max four-pot hybrid system, which is its more commonplace brother and can increase the options with a more cost-effective option.
The Tahara plant in Japan will continue to assemble the 2025 Lexus GX, which will be available in American dealerships in early 2025.
