iOS 26 brings both major and minor improvements to Apple Music, one of which was not mentioned in the press materials or WWDC keynote: Apple Music Replay is now a fully native in-app experience.
With iOS 26, Apple Music Replay is no longer available in web view.
With Replay, Apple Music has its own version of the well-liked year-end Spotify Wrapped feature.
On the other hand, technically, Apple offers this experience year-round.
However, Apple Music Replay has historically had a significant drawback: it was only accessible online, not within the Music app.
With Replay being included in the Music app itself for the first time last year, things got better, but there was a catch.
Apple Music Replay was accessible within the Music app. However, you were still only accessing a web view within the application in the end. The application didn’t come with it.
However, iOS 26 beta 1 has made that change.
Now available within the Music app, Apple Music Replay is a fully native experience.
No web views are visible.
Alternatively, you can view all of your Replay data in a native interface for each month, and most likely the entire year at year-end.
Some users won’t notice a significant difference from this change. Not everyone is concerned with whether or not a web view appears.
However, making Replay fully native is unquestionably a positive move that will improve user experience and help Apple Music in its continued battle with Spotify.
