A woman is in jail after she and a former financial adviser were accused of stealing millions of dollars from former Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones.
Another $1.03 million was laundered from Jones’ account with help from Octavia Monique Graham, whom Jones told investigators he never met.
Jail records show Graham is imprisoned at Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida, on a charge of first-degree grand theft.
He was a fifth-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2010 and played 128 games in his NFL career, starting 113.
According to Over The Cap, Jones made more than $56 million in his playing career.

An arrest report that WPLG-TV was able to obtain Thursday claims that Jones’ former financial advisor, Isaiah Williams, stole $1.58 million from Jones by using his access to the former Pro Bowl player’s personal bank account. Court documents, according to WPLG, reveal that Williams spent the funds on child support, legal fees, and upscale goods.
Octavia Monique Graham, whom Jones claimed he had never met, assisted in the laundering of an additional $1.03 million from his account.
In a statement released on Thursday, Jones’ lawyers described the purported theft as “yet another troubling example of a professional athlete being exploited by a wealth management firm who he trusted.”. “..”.
“The wrongdoer in this case was a vice president at one of the biggest financial institutions in the world — Bank of America’s investment management division, Merrill Lynch,” Chase Carlson and Jeff Sonn said in a statement. “We are attempting to recoup all of the damages our client has endured and have brought legal action against Merrill Lynch to hold them liable. “..”.
Graham is being held at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida, on a charge of first-degree grand theft, according to jail records. According to WPLG, 49-year-old Graham is also charged with two money laundering offenses.
Williams has not been taken into custody for his involvement, WPLG reports.
Jones played for the Dolphins for his whole 10-year NFL career, making the Pro Bowl in 2015 and 2017. 2019 was his last season in the league. He played 128 NFL games, starting 113 of them, after being selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Georgia.
