Johnson, 35, appeared in good spirits as she flashed a smile at onlookers while getting into a black SUV.
“It feels final this time,” an insider told People Wednesday, referring to their on-again, off-again relationship, which started in 2017.
Johnson emerged from her NYC hotel sans her engagement ring shortly after the breakup reports surfaced.
Before that, they were photographed holding hands in India, where Martin was performing with Coldplay for their Music of the Spheres World Tour shows.

Her accessories included a Jackie 1961 shoulder bag from Gucci ($2,950), hoop earrings by Kate Young ($450), Saint Laurent Raven Slingback Pumps, and 1951C sunglasses by Oliver Peoples x Khaite ($590).

According to a different source who spoke to the US Sun, the subject of kids and their age difference is what finally led them to end their relationship.
“She had [also] mentioned that she might want kids in the future, while Chris is kind of over that phase of his life,” the insider said.
Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, are the children that Martin and his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, have together.
Shortly after the split rumors broke, Johnson left her hotel in New York City without her engagement ring.
Wearing sunglasses and a large sun hat, the “50 Shades of Grey” star tried to blend in.
Although the exact date of the ex-couples’ separation is unknown, they were last spotted together in Malibu last month.
Prior to that, they were seen holding hands while Martin was playing with Coldplay during their Music of the Spheres World Tour dates in India.
According to reports, the “Fix You” crooner and Johnson have broken up multiple times since they began dating in 2017 and became secretly engaged in 2018.
