Graphic designer Bryana Bongolan testified that Sean “Diddy” Combs once dangled her off a 17th floor apartment balcony, and that she saw him throw a knife at her friend Casandra Ventura.
Ms Bongolan said she met Ms Ventura in 2014 when she worked for the brand Young and Reckless.
Ms Bongolan testified they often took drugs like cocaine, ketamine and marijuana together.
She also acknowledged that she and Ms Ventura had a “problem” with drug use, but that she was currently sober.
Ms Bongolan testified that in September 2016, she heard banging on Ms Ventura’s front door when she and her girlfriend were sleeping on the couch.
According to graphic designer Bryana Bongolan’s testimony, she witnessed Sean “Diddy” Combs hurl a knife at her friend Casandra Ventura and once dangled her off the balcony of a 17th-floor apartment.
Prosecutors showed pictures of Ms. Bongolan’s bruises, which she claimed she had sustained during the alleged 2016 incident, taken by her and her ex-girlfriend on Wednesday.
Before the jury, Ms. Bongolan was subjected to intense cross-examination by Combs’ lawyers, who attempted to undermine her credibility. In response, she said she couldn’t remember previous statements she made to the government.
Combs is accused of conspiracy, sex trafficking, and racketeering. He did not enter a guilty plea.
In its fourth week of testimony, the federal case comes after dozens of civil lawsuits against him from women and men who accused him of abuse, including Ms. Bongolan and Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Ms. Ventura.
While working for the company Young and Reckless in 2014, Ms. Bongolan claimed to have met Ms. Ventura. She later worked with Ms. Ventura on a collection as the head women’s designer at Diamond Supply Co., and the two grew close.
Ms. Bongolan testified that they frequently used marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine together. She later claimed that the RandB singer paid her to buy drugs for Ms. Ventura. She also admitted that she and Ms. Ventura had a “problem” with drug use, but she was currently drug-free.
In her testimony, Ms. Bongolan claimed to have witnessed indications of Combs’ alleged violence during their friendship. She claimed that the rapper would frequently knock on Ms. Ventura’s apartment door at night and that she had once seen her on FaceTime with a black eye.
In September 2016, while Ms. Ventura and her girlfriend were sleeping on the couch, Ms. Bongolan testified that she heard a knock on her front door. She told the court that after hiding her girlfriend in a bathroom and exiting to the balcony, Mr. Combs came into the apartment and allegedly lifted her up onto the ledge.
She claimed that after shouting, “You know what the (expletive) you did,” several times, he threw her against the furniture on the balcony.
The jury was shown by the prosecutors images of Ms. Bongolan’s leg puncture and bruise, along with metadata that included the date of the photos’ capture. She also stated that the evening caused her to experience paranoia and night terrors.
In another instance she detailed, Combs allegedly threw a knife at the R&B singer after breaking into Ms. Ventura’s apartment. According to Ms. Bongolan, Ms. Ventura grabbed the knife and tossed it back. She claimed that neither of them was hurt.
Combs allegedly got in Ms. Bongolan’s face during a Malibu photo shoot with Ms. Ventura and said, “I’m the devil and I could kill you.”. “.
“I was terrified,” she expressed to the judge.
