A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, the romantic drama starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, unveiled its first trailer Tuesday.
The film, directed by Kogonada and written by Seth Reiss (The Menu), is set to hit theaters September 19 via Sony’s Columbia Pictures.
Robbie and Farrell play Sarah and David, strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding.
The pic marks Robbie’s first acting role since Barbie, and Farrell’s since The Penguin.
Executive producers are Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, Gino Falsetto, Ori Eisen, Paul Mezey, Micah Green, Dan Steinman and John Atwood.

Robbie and Farrell portray strangers Sarah and David, who cross paths at a friend’s wedding. Following some sort of mystical GPS matchmaking, they are soon reunited and set out on a time-traveling journey where they are able to relive significant events from their individual pasts through a number of doors they find that serve as portals. What binds them together will be the journey.
Alongside Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lucy Thomas, Hamish Linklater, Billy Magnussen, Sarah Gadon, Brandon Perea, and Yuvi Hecht, Kevin Kline and Phoebe Waller-Bridge also play key roles. Farrell hasn’t acted since The Penguin, and Robbie hasn’t acted since Barbie.
When the trailer was first shown to exhibitors at Cinema-Con, Pachinko and After Yang director Kogonada remarked that Big Bold Beautiful Journey “is the kind of film I would want to watch in a packed theater … At its heart, it is two people reconciling with their past to find love in the present.”. “”.
Bradley Thomas, Reiss, Ryan Friedkin, and Youree Henley are producers of the film, which is from 30West and Imperative Entertainment. Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, Gino Falsetto, Ori Eisen, Paul Mezey, Micah Green, Dan Steinman, and John Atwood are the executive producers.
