Following the 2.5 Pro model update yesterday, Google is introducing “scheduled actions” to the Gemini app.
Scheduled actions let you “streamline routine tasks or receive personalized updates directly.” Just (conversationally) ask Gemini to “perform a task at a specific time,” day, date, or after an event.
You can also “transform a prompt you’re already using into a recurring action” that you’re updated daily/weekly about.
There will be a new scheduled actions settings page to manage everything you have set.
This new capability is billed as part of Google’s plan to make Gemini more personal, proactive and powerful: “Just tell Gemini what you need and when, and it will take care of the rest.” More on Gemini:

Additionally, you can “transform a prompt you’re already using into a recurring action” that you receive updates on every day or every week.
To manage everything you’ve set up, a new scheduled actions settings page will appear. Here are some examples of use cases.
A summary of your calendar and unread emails awaits you when you wake up.
Have Gemini come up with five blog post ideas every Monday to get your creative juices flowing.
Get updates on your favorite sports team to stay informed.
Arrange a one-time assignment, such as asking Gemini to provide you with an award show synopsis the day following the event.
