NotebookLM on Google now allows you to publicly share your notebook and AI podcasts, as well as the software yourself

The Verge

Google’s AI-powered notetaking app, NotebookLM, now lets you share your notebooks with classmates, coworkers, or students using a public link.
Google launched a mobile NotebookLM app last month.
The steps to making your notebook available publicly are pretty similar to the way you share something in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Google also lets you share your notebooks with others by entering their email address.
Unlike with public link-sharing, you can give individual users the ability to edit your notebook.

With a public link, you can now share your notebooks with classmates, coworkers, or other students using Google’s AI-powered note-taking app, NotebookLM. Viewers can ask questions and engage with AI-generated content, such as audio summaries, briefings, and frequently asked questions, even though they are unable to alter the contents of your notebook.

NotebookLM was first introduced as a test in 2023 and has since grown to be a huge success for Google. Understanding content from a range of sources, including notes, documents, presentation slides, and even YouTube videos, is made easier with the help of this app. In addition to creating AI podcast-style conversations and summarizing the content, it can also “chat” with you about the content. Last month, Google released the NotebookLM app for mobile devices.

You can share your notebook with the world in a similar manner to how you share something in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Simply click the Share button in the notebook’s upper-right corner, then select “Anyone with a link” as the access option. Hit the “Copy link” button after that, and if you want more people to interact with the information, you can even post the notebook link on social media.

If you enter someone’s email address, Google also allows you to share your notebooks with them. You have the option to allow specific users to edit your notebook, unlike when you share links publicly. Additionally, audio summaries can be shared from within the Gemini app.
