Fans of Survivor: Let’s give your newest winner a round of applause!

Joe, Eva, and Kyle defended their positions in the Final 3 and made their case to a jury of fallen comrades on Wednesday, marking the (literal) end of Season 48. There was no doubt that each finalist had a good reason for being the only survivor. Because she trusted the right people and relied on her social capital, Eva overcame many obstacles, particularly given her neurodiversity. Joe followed in the footsteps of past champions Tom Westman and Ethan Zohn by playing a devoted and truthful game. And four immunity wins over a group of people in their twenties and thirties? Show some respect. For the duration of the game, Kyle remained secret about his true allegiance, scheming to protect Kamilla and himself. The Thomas and Shauhin vote-outs are shown in Exhibits A and B.

In the XXL Survivor 48 finale, who won the title of Sole Survivor, the most jury votes, and a $1 million check? Let’s recap the highlights!

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK | Kamilla appeared to be in shock just minutes into the Final 5 immunity challenge, as if she were stuck in a hellish twisted rope crawl. However, Jeff insisted that she “dig deep” and must persevere, and you know what? He’s right. This is the reason you should never give up on Survivor! Joe battled his way through every obstacle in the challenge, but he was unable to advance on the puzzle, which allowed his four rivals to overtake him. Eva had an advantage in the challenge as well; she was able to save crucial seconds or minutes in the middle of the course by walking straight up and dropping a ball into a basket. However, it was all over when Kamilla, who finished last, reached the flame puzzle. She put everything into overdrive and guaranteed her place in the Final 4. Additionally, she made it appear easy! Her family must be savoring the fact that they anticipated her being voted out first.

ODE TO MITCH | Friends, I must be honest. My heart aches for Mitch, who narrowly missed qualifying for the Final Four. He was constantly at the front of the pack during competitions, even though he may not have received any individual immunities. The fact that the entire cast adores him says a lot about him, and throughout the entire season, his kind heart was evident on TV. Kamilla deserves praise for being truthful with him. At the last Tribal, she didn’t want to sit next to him. And Mitch added, “I should’ve made a move!” No one wanted to! Yeah, buddy. It was your duty to. However, it’s still sad to see you go.

KAMILLA’S TRUTH BOMB | Our girl is no fool! She was aware that the votes would be divided between her and Kyle if they were seated next to each other in the Final 3. (coughEVAANDJOEcough…) Her best chance of winning this game is to avoid ending up next to Kyle. “No,” she said. He said he had been feeling the same way and admired her for speaking out about it before the final immunity challenge. If she gains that last immunity, Kamilla’s plan is to pit Kyle against Joe in the fire-making challenge. Sadly for her, she was frightened of the task at hand: Simmotion, a Survivor classic that first appeared in the Tocantins season. Since Kyle had won the immunity necklace, the person Kamilla had just threatened to fire now held all the authority. Tough stuff…

FIRE-MAKING | Kyle believed he had a simple choice already made. Kamilla v. Eva. . He didn’t want to give Joe the opportunity to impress the jury. He pondered, “Let the two women compete and may the strongest one prevail.”. However, he was actually counting on Eva to handle his massive Kamilla issue. However, Eva had another incident in the jungle after she had trouble honing her skills. She was soothed by Joe, who pleaded with her to let him take her place. She declined. To prove to herself and to others with autism that anything was possible, she knew she had to do it alone. Even though it appears that she eats a full meal every day, her fight is impressive, so it was the right decision. (Why was she rewarded by EVERYONE this season?

Sincerely regretting his choice, Kyle admitted to the camera that he was thinking about joining Kamilla’s fight. Even though he began practicing making fire on his own, Kyle managed to stay safely seated, and even though Eva’s flame flickered and died, she managed to bring it back to life and send Kamilla directly to Ponderosa.

FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL | Big questions and even bigger revelations! Kyle is a lawyer? Eva is pursuing a doctorate? Well, now! However, as the Final 3 started their journeys to the end, Kamilla gave Kyle the opportunity to make the ultimate alley-oop by allowing him to explain what actually transpired behind the scenes of that Shauhin vote. I was surprised that Kyle only mentioned a few of the things he and Kamilla got away with, even though he gave really well-written responses. Eva said she and Joe were the best duo of the season, which may have been one of his points that ended on the cutting room floor. We heard Kyle’s counterargument, which was that he and Kamilla were the best duo of the season, but I was really hoping he would take it personally. But what do I know? Whether or not more was said that fateful night in the Fijian jungle is irrelevant because Kyle didn’t need all that extra flair. Go big! Add more modest boasts about working in the shadows with his partner-in-crime. Kyle was declared the sole survivor by a vote of 5-2-1 after Probst read the votes on the spot.
