At least three people were injured early Sunday in a shooting outside of a residential hall at Oklahoma State University, authorities said.
One of the injured victims is a student at the Stillwater, Oklahoma, school, according to the Oklahoma State University Police Department.
The shooting was reported around 3:40 a.m. local time outside the Carreker East residential hall, according to the OSU police statement.
He said campus officers went to the McDonald’s and found the person suffering from gunshot wounds and began to provide medical aid.
While interviewing potential witnesses, officers learned that a shooting had just occurred in the parking out outside the Carreker East residential hall.

The Oklahoma State University Police Department reports that one of the injured victims is a student at the institution in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
In relation to the shooting, no arrests have been reported.

Police officers on campus first heard about the shooting, according to Beckner, when they heard a radio call from a Stillwater police dispatcher reporting a gunshot victim at a McDonald’s a few miles away from the college.
When campus police arrived at the McDonald’s, he said, they discovered the victim of a gunshot wound and started to administer medical attention.
At around the same time, according to Beckner, campus police were notified of a shooting that was taking place on campus near the residence halls.
When police arrived on the scene, Beckner said, people were driving out of the area, and they stopped a number of the cars at gunpoint. He claimed that when police arrived, there were no victims present.
Officers were on the scene when they learned that one of the victims of the shooting had been taken to the Stillwater Medical Center and that another had appeared at the Tulsa Medical Center.
On Sunday afternoon, Beckner reported that the three shooting victims were all in stable condition.
Officers discovered a shooting had just taken place in the parking lot outside the Carreker East residential hall while questioning possible witnesses.
According to Beckner, witnesses informed police that the shooting was caused by a fight that started at a party at the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater and continued to an after-party on campus.
